Ultrasound Bladder Scanner

Ultrasound has just recently been awarded the US Distribution Rights for
the NEW Portascan Bladder Scanner product developed in the UK by
Mediwatch Ltd.
The
Portascan bladder scanner is a portable, battery operated bladder
scanner that provides a full ultrasound image of the bladder. The system
uses Windows CE based software to analyze the bladder scan and
automatically displays the volume. The software is also capable of
extrapolating the bladder outline and calculating the volume in extreme
cases where the bladder is so large as to not be contained within the
scanned image. A 6" LCD screen provides real-time imaging of the
bladder, while its point and measure technology provides one touch
automatic calculation of the residual volume. In addition, The onboard
thermal printer prints the scan and calculated results, while the
Portascan's internal memory allows you to store and recall up to 20 scan
images of previous patients. The Portascan bladder scanner also features
a switchable dual frequency probe, which permits optimization for
specialist applications, aided by contrast and brightness controls. The
