The GE Logiq e Brings Ultrasound to Those in Need

Since 2003, we at National Ultrasound have been dedicated to supplying ultrasounds to the medical community. When we were approached by the Cascade Medical Team, a group of healthcare professionals providing free healthcare to Guatemala’s indigenous population about their need for a portable ultrasound machine we were ready to help. Now, five years later we continue to support the amazing efforts of this group of selfless medical professionals by donating ultrasound equipment.

This year based on the clinical needs of the medical staff and their patients we recommended that we donate the use of a GE Logiq e Ultrasound with convex and linear transducers. This portable GE ultrasound machine has the capability to perform diagnostic ultrasounds for a wide range of applications such as OB-GYN, Cardiology, Vascular, Urology and many more.

In six days during their most recent trip to the region, the Cascade Medical Team successfully performed 111 surgeries, 1197 clinical examinations, and performed outreach to 545 individuals for a grand total of 1,853 free medical services provided to patients in need.
